Some conversations stay with you. This was one. I met Lola Berry in her eclectic LA apartment, the one with a rooftop that looks straight out at the Hollywood sign, and what poured out was years of heartbreak, healing and hard-won peace.
You probably know Lola as the bubbly Aussie nutritionist turned author and podcast host. What you might not know is how much she has quietly survived to keep that light on. She opens up here like never before.
On Heartbreak and Grief
Lola doesn't perform resilience. She talks about heartbreak and grief with a kind of honesty that makes you exhale. There's no neat bow on it, no influencer gloss. Just a woman who has felt things deeply and decided to be truthful about it.
On Body Image and Disordered Eating
For someone who built a career in wellness, Lola is refreshingly clear-eyed about its shadow side. She speaks about her own long road with disordered eating and body image, and how the pressure to look the part can quietly do real harm.

On Being Cancelled
We talk about what it actually feels like to be cancelled online. The pile-on, the silence from people you thought had your back, and the strange grief of watching a version of yourself take shape that you don't recognise. Lola is honest about how much it hurt, and about what it taught her.
On the IVF Experience That Nearly Cost Her Life
This was the hardest part of our conversation. Lola shares a terrifying IVF experience that nearly cost her life. She tells it plainly, without drama, and in doing so reminds you how much women carry privately while still showing up smiling.
On Finding Peace
What I love about Lola is that she has done the work, not just talked about it. Yoga, therapy and a real practice of self-love are how she has found her way back to herself. This is a conversation about vulnerability and reinvention, and about the quiet strength it takes to begin again.

Why It Stayed With Me
Lola gives you permission to be a whole person. Messy, hopeful, still healing and still here. I left lighter, and grateful she trusted us with so much. I think you will feel it too.
